Looking For Construction Manager

9 June 2008

Dear CIOB member

The Chartered Institute of Building is looking for members who would be willing to talk to Construction Manager for a feature that will appear in the July/August summer issue.

In light of the possible downturn in the UK, the feature will look at construction boom markets abroad, focusing on members’ experience of working in:

  • The Middle East
  • India
  • China
  • Russia

The feature will look generally at what is driving the boom in the area, what the big projects are and what is on the horizon and will then focus on what it is like to work there.

Construction Manager is looking for members who would be willing to be interviewed about their experience of working in another country – how it differs from working in the UK, the enjoyable aspects, the challenges etc – ideally accompanied with a on-site photo. Also, because it is the summer issue, Construction Manager is interested to find out any information about what there is to do in the country in holiday time. For example, a member working in China may be able to talk about a trip to the Great Wall in their holiday, with accompanying photo as well if possible.

If you would like to share your experiences with Construction Manager, please contact either:

The deadline for responses is Wednesday 18 June.

Thank you in advance for your help.
