	Bridgette Gasa FCIOB, CIOB Africa President, Managing Director of The Elilox Pty, Ltd. Ms. Bridgette Gasa is an Architectural practitioner who is affiliated with many well-known professional associations. These include Project Management South Africa, the Institute of Directors (IOD) and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB Africa). She is both a Fellow of the CIOB as well as its President for the African continent. Ms. Gasa is a renowned Master in Project Management and she holds board memberships with a transport utility (PRASA) and an energy and resources company in South Africa (Bidevco). Bridgette has practiced in her trade and also worked for a number of state owned enterprises, her most notable contributions being the development of an Infrastructure Delivery Improvement Programme and being charged with the responsibility of leading the technical development of 11500 hectares of Industrial Development Zone land. She currently lectures undergraduate and post-graduate Construction Management students whilst reading for a Phd in Construction Management with the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. She is also the CEO and Managing Director of her own company (The Elilox Group) which focuses on programme and project management consulting and infrastructure development. She sits on numerous advisory committees which provide leadership to the construction, transport and logistics, and energy resources sectors of the South African economy. Bridgette GASA is the 2008 recipient of the award recognizing a Leading Woman Scientist in Industry. She was also unanimously nominated as the first-ever female President of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), Africa during the year 2008.

In my 29 year career in the construction industry, I served as owner, owner’s agent, and consultant, including the roles of Chief Architect for MTA-New York City Transit, Program Director/Project Manager/Architect at three NYC agencies, Senior Executive at private firms and Executive Director at a Non Profit Foundation. In these positions, I developed complex projects and managed professional staff/stakeholder communications with users/vendors/public officials/interfacing agencies/utilities/communities/trades. In my public advisory and industry leadership roles, including service as president of the CMAA/NYNJ and Director/International Chair of CMAA/National, Co-Chair IECM Thailand, I have presented on issues of sustainability/urban design/mobility/resource development to domestic/international academic and professional forums. I actively promote/facilitate professional development and mentoring. I co-founded Tree of Life, a non profit organization to facilitate capacity building in post conflict regions. 	Dr Lynda Bourne, PMP, FAIM Dr Lynda Bourne DPM, PMP, FAIM is a recognised international authority on stakeholder engagement and the ‘Stakeholder Circle’ visualisation tool. She has worked with organisations in Australia, Asia and Europe assisting them to manage change through use of this methodology to understand and manage the relationships essential for successful delivery of major projects and organisational outcomes. Dr Bourne has presented at conferences and seminars in Europe, Russia, Asia, USA, New Zealand and Australia to audiences of managers and project managers in the IT, construction, defence and mining industries. She has published papers in many academic and professional journals and contributed her ideas to books on procurement and construction stakeholder management. Her book: Stakeholder Relationship Management was published in September 2009 and she is a contributing author to Construction Stakeholder Management (both books are stocked by Construction Books Direct).

	Peter Jacobs FCIOB, CIOB Vice President  After graduation, Peter joined the Property Services Agency and designed complex structures for research establishments before becoming a project manager administering government contracts as a client representative. In 1983, Peter joined Trollope and Colls Ltd as senior engineer and contracts manager before moving to Bovis in 1987. In his initial role, he was responsible for a range of construction projects including KensingtonPalaceGardens, Channel 4 TV and Asda Bexley Heath. Prior to joining the Bovis Lend Lease Board, Peter was a Divisional Director and has been associated with some of our finest landmark buildings including Treasury PFI, Paternoster Square, Mid City Place and Chiswick Park. Peter has also led the Incident and Injury Free Cultural Change Programme across the Lend Lease Europe business and remains totally committed to the safety and welfare of everybody in the construction industry. Peter’s current role is as a member of Bovis Lend Lease UK EMT, with operational responsibility for the AthletesVillage Business Unit. The team is dedicated to working in an integrated manner with Lend Lease Retail and Communities to deliver the £2billion AthletesVillage project for the London 2012 games.

	TANG Ka Wah  Director, Executive Director of Shui On Development Limited in Shanghai and Chongqing He is responsible for all aspects of our project in Chongqing. He joined the Shui On Group in 1985 and has over 24 years of working experience in the construction industry. He is a member of the Institution of Structural Engineers and a member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. Mr. Tang is a chartered engineer. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from The University of Hong Kong and a Master’s degree in Business Administration — E-Commerce from the West Coast Institute of Management & Technology, West Australia.

	Patrick Weaver PMP, HND (Bldg), FAICD, FCIOB. Patrick has been a CIOB member since 1970; he is a former President of CIOB Australasia and is currently the Asia Pacific time Zone Chair and a member of the CIOB Time Management Working Group. As well as being an active member of CIOB, he is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI). Patrick is the Managing Director of Mosaic Project Services Pty Ltd, an Australian project management consultancy business specialising in project scheduling and project management training.  His consultancy work encompasses: developing and advising on project schedules, forensic analysis of project data, developing and presenting project management training courses, acting as an expert witness and assisting with dispute resolution and claims management, he is a qualified Arbitrator and accredited Mediator.

Immigrating to Canada in 1996 he has gained an appreciation of the broad range of environmental conditions the construction industry operates in and how each culture deals with these challenges in building a sustainable future. With first hand experience of projects as diverse as sub zero, arctic environments to constructing buildings capable of withstanding hurricane force winds has provided Andy with an appreciation of the wide range of conditions and challenges that face our chosen profession in constructing a low carbon environment. In an effort to become more informed about sustainable construction Andy attends seminars and courses including those hosted by the Canada Green Building Council. In 2009 was successful in achieving the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design accreditation of LEED AP.

	Michael Brown FCIOB, Deputy Chief Executive CIOB Michael Brown is Deputy Chief Executive of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).   His responsibilities cover two Directorates, Policy and External Relations and Construction, Innovation and Development.   Michael has worked for the CIOB for 18 years, originally as Director of Education.    Previously Michael worked both in the construction industry and in higher education.  Immediately prior to joining the staff of the CIOB, Michael was Head of the School of Construction, Housing and Surveying at the University of Westminster (previously the Polytechnic of Central London). Michael’s work has involved establishing CIOB International, including new development work in China and South Africa and offices in seven countries. He has held a number of industry positions, including Chairman of the Construction Industry Council Standards Panel and Board member of the Construction Skills Certification Scheme.   Michael was the founder Chair of PIUK China, a collaborative group of 17 built environment and engineering institutions working together in China, and is a Board member of the Society of the Environment.  Michael is a Fellow of the CIOB, a Member of the Chartered Management Institute,   an Honorary Member of Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.  In 2010 Michael received the CIOB Presidential medal award by Professor Li Shirong.

	Ghassan Aouad Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research & Innovation, FCIOB Professor Ghassan Aouad is the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research and Innovation at the University. Ghassan joined Salford in 1992 as a Research Fellow working on the Integrated Construction EPSRC-funded project. Prior to joining Salford, he spent five years in the Department of Civil and Building Engineering of Loughborough University, where he obtained his MSc in Construction (1987) and his PhD entitled ‘Integrated Planning Systems for the Construction Industry’ (1991). Before becoming PVC in July 2008, Ghassan was Dean of the Faculty of Business, Law and The Built Environment at the University (August 2006-July 2008), and prior to this he held the position of Director of the Research Institute of the Built & Human Environment which achieved the RAE 6* status in 2001. Between 2003 and 2006 he was Head of School of Construction & Property Management at the University.   Ghassan is also Co-Director of the £5m EPSRC funded Salford Centre for Research & Innovation in the Built & Human Environment, a visiting professor at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), and Fellow of the CIOB.

	Michael Horenko Regional Director - Asia, Mace International Ltd. - Shanghai World Expo UK Pavilion Project Management Practice Michael Horenko, is based in Shanghai, and has 30 years of extensive contracting and general management experience in the Asia Pacific Region. Commencing his career in Australia Michael followed the traditional Construction Contractors development route to Project Manager level before moving internationally.
